Local ceramics artist Sarah McDade, who has been featured on the Pennine Sculpture Trail, is running a small-scale, all-abilities ceramics workshop this February at the Artsmill Art School Studio, Hebden Bridge.
The event, which will take place at Linden Mill, from 10.30am - 2pm on Saturday, February 7, is designed to provide people of all abilities with the opportunity to learn key ceramics skills, in what Sarah hopes will be the first of many such classes this year.
Sarah has been working with ceramics for over 20 years. The cost for each place is £35 per person which will include clay, firing and refreshments. Students will also be given the opportunity to have their pieces glazed at a later date for a small fee if they wish.
The workshop is open to all abilities from complete novices beginner to experienced ceramic artists, who can either follow Sarah’s design plans or work within their own parameters should they have an idea of what they want to create. The day is designed to be as flexible as possible.
Anyone who is interested in the workshop, or who would like to discuss any ideas that they have, should contact Sarah beforehand on 07746 240195 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
