Hebden Bridge’s largest chartered accountancy practice, Cresswells, has announced the acquisition of a local book-keeping and payroll company.
Having recently celebrated 125 years of trading in the town, Cresswells has acquired CBC Outsourcing which employs three staff and has been trading from neighbouring premises in Market Street.
The takeover is part of Cresswells continuing plans to expand in Calderdale and will result in changes to the office frontage and the re-location of Cresswells’ current first floor reception to street level, as CBC’s services are brought under the Cresswells’ brand.
Last month Cresswells expanded its team of support staff with the appointment of Charlotte Gibbon, 18, as office junior and Julie Noble, 55, as secretary/administrator.
The firm is currently also recruiting an experienced accountant and it is expected that the takeover will provide additional office space for Cresswells’ expanding team.
