Anyone is welcome at charity Unique Ways annual review

Local charity Unique Ways is coming home to base to celebrate a year of achievements next Thursday (November 8).

Calderdale charity Unique Ways will be holding its annual meeting at its Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre base in Halifax,

The event will feature presentations as well as guest speaker Jackie Codman, Partnership Manager with Department for Work and Pensions, who will be talking about parent carers transitioning from Disabled Living Allowance to Person Independence Payments.

Shona Walsh, Chief Executive Officer said: “We are looking forward to welcoming existing members of Unique Ways, parent carers who are not currently members but want to know more about what we offer, from professionals who work in the arena of special educational needs and disabilities or additional needs and indeed from Calderdale based businesses."

The charity helps support families with disabled children aged 0-25 and provide services not restricted by an eligibility criteria or formal diagnosis.

The event starts at 11.30. A light buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
