The show, called Happily Ever After, follows Cinderella’s son and Snow White’s daughter, who are planning their wedding.

But Evilyn, played by St Joseph’s newcomer Suzanne McHale, is leading a plot to ruin the ceremony.

Penny Law and Lydia Bates, 13, are taking on the roles of the Prince and Princess. Harrison Cannon, Isabelle Cannon, Jessica Hunter, James Law and Beth Roscoe, all aged ten, play the five Lords.

Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk makes an appearance, played by Lewis Bowes, and Gill Lowe stars as Daisy the cook.

Following a Christmas break, rehearsals re-start next week and the pantomime will run at the Hippodrome Theatre, Halifax Road, Todmorden, from January 18-21.

Julie Bates, who is producing the show along with Abi Davy-Day and Michael Cannon, said: “It’s full steam ahead. A lot of commitment and effort have been put in by everyone. It will be nice to see it all pay off.”

Julie hopes many people will come and see the show. “We have always had fantastic support from locals and regulars from further afield.”

Tickets are available from Todmorden Information Centre.
