Calderdale charity concert to help flood victims postponed due to coronavirus

A charity concert that would have seen funds given to those badly hit by the floods last months has been cancelled.

Flood Aid 2 was due to be staged at the Victoria Theatre on March 29.

However, organisers have taken the decision to postpone the event due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Posting on their Facebook, organisers said: "It is with great sadness that due to the Covid-19 outbreak we need to postpone Flood Aid 2, until such time as the people we are supporting will also be safe.

"We have to think about all the performers but most of all the population of Calderdale. Flood Aid is there to help people not place people at any risk which we are sure you will understand.

"We will keep everyone updated as time goes by with regards a new date later in the year, all tickets will be honoured for the revised date.

"Many thanks for being so understanding during these tough times, please stay safe."
