Morning travel and weather update

There is queueing traffic on the M62 in both directions between J19, A6046 (Heywood) and J18, M60 (Simister Island), because of earlier horses on the road. All lanes have now been re-opened but there is congestion to J21, A640 (Milnrow) and on M60 Clockwise to J16, A666 (Pendlebury).

There is also queueing traffic on the M1 northbound between J38, A637 (Woolley) and J42, M62 (Lofthouse) in the roadworks area. Motorists are advised that travel time is around 30 minutes.

Motorists are also facing delays on A646 Burnley Road eastbound in Sowerby Bridge between the John Naylor Lane junction and the A6139 Tuel Lane junction. This is due to roadworks in Friendly.

There are no reported problems on the trains and buses.

Weather wise, Calderdale is set for sunny, rainy and cloudy spells throughout the day, with lows of 5C and highs of 8C.
