Some criminals put stockings on their heads, now Earth’s funniest socks get their heads around crime.

Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre is back with its newest not suitable for children Punch & Judy show ‘Minging Detectives’, performing at Carriageworks Theatre, Friday, 17 July.

‘The Abbot and Costello of the sock world’ (Time Out) present their take on every crime genre from TV detectives and film noir to Scandinavian murder mystery, bringing you brand new, laugh-out-loud songs and sketches.

The act has enjoyed seven sell-out years at the Fringe and international tours from Aberdeen to Adelaide (Pick of the Fringe), Manchester to Malta, and all points in between, this pair of comic stockings continues to create hilarious shows of songs, sketches, socks and violence on topics far and wide.

They’ve been called “the unparalleled pinnacle of comedy puppetry” (5* Venue magazine 2013), and anyone can see why.

Creator and man with his hands in the socks, Kev F Sutherland is a comedian, writer, producer and comic artist whose comic strips appear in The Beano, Doctor Who Adventures, Match and many more.

His Comic Art Masterclass visits schools nationally and internationally, he is possibly the World’s Fastest Caricaturist (available for parties and events), and his show The Sitcom Trials appears on stage and online.

The performance is onFriday July 17 and starts at 7:45pm.
