Falstaff (Barrie Rutter, pictured) has the tables turned on his philanderous plans after tangling with two mischievous women (Becky Hindley and Nicola Sanderson) inNorthern Broadsides telling of the wonderful Shakespearean romp The Merry Wives which runs at Dean Clough’s Viaduct Theatre, Halifax fromMarch 1-5.
It’s the third time Broadsides have taken on this story of deception and counter deception and this time it is set in the 1920s.
