Brighouse tunes up for a brass spectacular

Twenty-six bands will be marching through Brighouse this afternoon as part of the 14th annual Festival of Brass.

Interest in this year’s Brighouse Lions’ Festival of Brass it at an all-time high with people travelling from Surrey, Cumbria, Lincolnshire and Wales to attend.

The proceedings will start at 1pm with the youth bands in Bethel Street.

Anyone unable to get tickets to see the all-female band Boobs and Brass at Central Methodist Church last night will be able to see them marching through the town after the youth bands at 1.30pm. They will be collecting along the way for their chosen Breast Cancer Charity.
