Barry Manilow fan or not, you’ll be singing along to ‘Copacabana’ at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, next week.

Halifax Light Opera Society presents the musical based on the Manilow song everyone knows.

It’s all glitz and glamour in the award winning musical, which expands the story in the song.

The theme of the song prompted singer and composer Barry Manilow to come up with a full scale musical which took the West End by storm.

The show, starring Ashley Wade as Tony and Amy Straw as Lola, has been delighting audiences in Britain, the USA and further afield since 1994, and as the song goes: “At the Copa, Copacabana…” – see you’re singing it already.

“People are bound to leave the theatre singing its title song,” said director Kathryn Beverley
