Soak up the magnificent music of Jerome Kern and George Gershwin at what promises to be an outstanding concert at St Matthew’s Church, Lightcliffe (Oct 22, 7.30pm).

Royal Northern College of Music graduates, Juliet Montgomery and Aiden Edwards, return to sing favourites from Show Boat and other musicals written by two of the World’s greatest ever modern-day composers .

They will be supported by The Northowram Singers, and accompanied by an ensemble, led by musical director Rob Paxman.

Producer and narrator, John Brooke, said: “This will be the fourth year running that Juliet and Aidan will have performed in our autumn concert. Last year was a sell-out, so concert-goers are advised to buy their tickets in advance.”

Tickets are £7 in advance, £8 on the door, and are available from Colin’s News, Hipperholme and the Lightcliffe Tea Rooms, Lightcliffe.
