Described by Bob Dylan as ‘the single most important figure in English folk rock’, Ashley Hutchings has plenty to talk about.

Renowned as the founder of Fairport Convention and several successful folk bands including Steeleye Span and the Albion Band, he will talk about his life in music and share stories, poetry and songs as part of the LBT’s Cellar Folk programme on Saturday, May 14.

Setting the scene for some of the stories and accompanying Ashley on vocals and guitar will be Becky Mills, a former member of Waking the Witch and now a solo artist in her own right.

Jenny and the Good Men, Cellar Folk favourites, will provide support on solo voice, guitar, fiddle, accordion, bouzouki, banjo and harmonica.

The show starts at 8pm and tickets are on 01484 430528.
