Music icons reflect on change in life of 1970s

Brix Smith and and Viv Albertine of The Slits and The Fall fame are rocking up at Hebden BridgeTrades Club on Sunday for a Faber & Faber publishers social event. The event signals the launch of Brix Smith’s memoir The Rise, The Fall, and The Rise. She will reveal the stories behind her marriage to Mark E Smith, the post-punk scene in Manchester during the 1980s, her life growing up in the Hollywood Hills, and how she ended up working as a waitress following the disintegration of her marriage.

Viv, a confidante of The Sex Pistols and The Clash will read from her brutally honest memoir Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys and her new work-in-progress.
