Whispering Bob is a huge fan of Corinne

Californian singer, poet, tunesmith and visionary Corinne West embarks on her first UK tour in four years to coincide with the release of her latest album Starlight Highway.

And her show arrives at the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge on May 25 (gig starts 8pm, tickets are £11 from 01422 845265 or www.thetradesclub.com).

Now firmly established on the Country/Blues/Americana scene she has received rave reviews across the broadcasting spectrum including making a huge fan of legendary BBC radio and TV DJ Bob Harris.

“I love Corinne’s music and truly believe in her as an artist. She has spirit, integrity and talent. I am a massive fan,” he said.

Mid West Record are even more complimentary:

“A mind blowing set from the voice of an angel, the bar has officially been raised to all comers who think they can top this. Killer stuff that restores any lost luster to the folkie-singer/songwriter mantle.”

Starlight Highway is Corinne’s fifth album following Magnetic Skyline, Second Sight, Bound for the Living and The Promise.

She has previously toured the UK extensively, most recently as a duo with Kelly Joe Phelps.

She will be accompanied on the Starlight Highway Tour by UK based multi-instrumentalist Sam Lawrence.

Her music evokes the eternal stories of mystic troubadours, while speaking to the sonic sensibilities of a contemporary audience.

She is equal parts angel and outlaw, delicate and fierce.

Her skillfully crafted songs reflect grit, optimism and a far-reaching reverence for space and time.

To listen is to free fall though an aural dreamscape emblazoned with lush vocals and pristine guitar, say her promoters.
