For 15 years Dean Clough Comedy Nights have brought award-winning performers to Halifax whose acts have ranged from classic stand-up to hilarious anecdotes and riotous magicianship. Many of the comedians seen at Dean Clough have gone on to enjoy substantial TV and media careers.

Hard on the heels of this success, the comedy series has now moved 50 yards from its old venue and grown to feature an extra act - three comedians plus a top-line MC - and includes food and a bar.

The first gig at The Arches brings three celebrated comedians from the national circuit to Dean Clough.

Preston’s Dan Nightingale does appear on TV but really he is the epitome of live comedy. He will be joined by former geography teacher Rob Rouse who was compared to Stan Laurel by Time Out and makes frequent appearances on TV’s ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’.

Also in the line-up will be Bradford-born Ben Schofield, who is known for his substantial girth and his loud sets. With some of Bill Bailey’s wit and charm about him, he has been described as a ‘sure winner with the crowd’.

LOL@The Arches starts at 7pm. Book on www.halifaxpartynights.co.uk
