Music to set the stage on fire

The band is now on tour promoting their latest album ‘Public Library’, a collection of eight ‘short stories’ drawn from different sections of the bookshelf.

Despair and hope go hand in hand - a murder mystery rubs shoulders with a biography, romance leans against a prison diary.

Although band founder Mathias Kom’s songwriting has never been wordier or his stories stranger - and although the band has never played louder - the essence of Burning Hell remains constant. In other words life is not really so bad as long as there are laughs and something decent to read along the way.

The Burning Hell has been on the road, in one form or another, since 2007.

The current line-up includes Ariel Sharratt on clarinet, bassist Nick Ferrio, drummer Jake Nicoll and guitarist guitarist Darren Browne as well as singer songwriter Mathias Kom.

The band’s output runs from introspective folk to hyperactive rock and roll, upbeat pop to dark ballads, anthems to love songs.

Supporting them will be The Tiny Minds, a groove-based pop quartet, influenced by the music of the ‘60s and ‘90s, based in Hebden Bridge.

The gig starts at 9.15pm and tickets are available from Revo, Jumbo or on Ticketweb.
