Great music and fab festival food
It involves live music from established names, must-see rising stars, first class cooking from world renowned chefs plus lots of family entertainment.
The festival which includes the brilliant Fratellis boasts live music across indoor venues, a main stage sponsored by The Flying Horse Hotel against the backdrop of the town hall, and Stage 2 – the community stage.

Hide AdChefs and food producers will host live cooking demonstrations throughout the festival which will also include a popular food market.
The summer festival is funded by Rochdale Borough Council together with sponsorship from local businesses.
The line up for Friday on Stage 2, at the Esplanade (11am to 9pm) is - Keston Cobblers Club, Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar, Maz O’Connor, Mike Kenney, Les Enfants Terribles: The Marvelous Imaginary Menagerie, Can’t Dance Can, Skylight Silver Circus, Becky Langan, That’s All Folk, Little Folk and groups from Rochdale’s borough wide forum.
Then on Saturday the two stages will operate in tandem.
On the main stage at Rochdale Town Hall from 3pm until late will be -

Over on Stage 2 are -
Whitworth Amateur’s Slice of Saturday Night, Becky Langan, ComedyClub4Kids, Oakenhoof, M6 Youth Theatre, Turner’s Dance Academy and Hippochondriac.
Age policy. Organisers say the main stage area on Saturday 20 August 2016 is not suitable for young children. All under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, and unaccompanied under 18s will not be admitted. If an under 18 year old leaves the main stage area, re-entry will only be permitted if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are responsible for the behaviour of their under 18s. Since winning the Best British Breakthrough gong at the BRIT Awards, the Glaswegian 3-piece Fratellis have enjoyed huge success, with three top 20 albums and five top 40 singles over the past decade.

While the lads have enjoyed a string of hits, including ‘Whistle for the Choir’, ‘Henrietta’, ‘Mistress Mable,’ and ‘Baby Fratelli’ they are best known for the anthemic ‘Chelsea Dagger’.
