‘Al fresco’ art goes indoors

“Al fresco” artist Bill Rofe will be launching his latest work at Northlight Art Studios on Friday, December 13.

Running from 5pm to 9pm at the venue on Valley Road, Hebden Bridge, ‘Pennine industrial landscapes and local plants’ is an exhibition of 13 paintings inspired by the nonconventional beauty of the upper Calder Valley.

After debuting on Friday week, the exhibition will move to Hebden Bridge Town Hall from Monday, December 16, and stay there until Tuesday, December 24. It will be free to view and can be seen Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 4pm.

Next year will bring major new developments at Northlight Art Education - the new name for the Back Door Education project at the studios.

The launch of its spring term programme of innovative art and craft courses and workshops takes place in mid-January and will be complemented by the creation of a dedicated ceramics space, the expansion into a new teaching space at Artsmill and the introduction of new courses.
