Old Rishworthians will receive a special Gold Standard award from the Rugby Football Union on Sunday.
The Copley club has recently completed a clubhouse extension and its junior set-up is going from strength to strength.
According to information from the RFU it is a “legacy award to reward, recognise and promote those clubs that are making the biggest contributions to generating the greatest participation legacy for rugby union across the country.”
Senior representatives from the RFU and World Rugby (formerly the IRB) will hand over the award at the clubhouse on a day when World Cup games take place at Elland Road in Leeds.
Rishworthians believe they one of only 18 clubs throughout the country to receive the award.
