Luddenden Foot firsts and Mytholmroyd seconds are preparing themselves for one last big push in the Foster’s Halifax League on Saturday.
Foot need only a couple of bonus points from their home game with Northowram to ensure safety in the middle section with Outlane already down and Clayton favourites to join them.
While Mytholmroyd firsts are one point behind Booth in the battle for the runners-up berth behind Jer Lane in the Premier, ‘Royd’s seconds need only one point at relegated Oxenhope to be runners-up in Division One.
Tom Russell’s side considerably enhanced their position last Saturday when they not only managed to defy the rain but also won.
Low Moor made 168 for four in a 25 over contest but Russell (87 no) and his father Jon (60 no) put on 157 to ensure an eight-wicket win for ‘Royd worth eight points.
Meanwhile, Bridgeholme made it a double celebration party last Saturday.
Their firsts had already been crowned Division Two champions and the seconds clinched promotion at least when they bowled out visitors Luddenden Foot for 84 and Keith Hudson (30 no) and Zach Harris (38 no) knocked off the runs without loss. Harris had earlier taken five for nine.
