The first division in Hebden Bridge GC’s Saturday medal was won by Jonathan Cockcroft with a nett 64.

He just beat Richard Allott, who has been pulled a shot after a fine start to 2015.

Pete Smith also dropped a shot after a nett 63 to win the second division.

Chris Hoyle is through to the last eight in two of the major knockouts.

The Ladies Stableford Cup had a surprise winner in 36 handicapper Margaret Sunderland with 34 points, six more than Pat Coukham and Neeve Fisher.

Ricky Hutchinson confounded his Tuesday Club partners by holding a 40ft putt on the fourth after driving out of bounds and then chipping in from off the green on the last.

He is hoping to repeat this trick in Monday’s Family Fun competition.
