Siddal ace's 24-point haul

The winger scored four tries and kicked four goals as the Chevinedge men registered a comfortable 32-8 win away to a York Acorn side who are next-to-bottom of the Premier Division.

Leigh Miners Rangers lost second spot to Wath Brow Hornets. Rangers went down 32-18 away to West Hull, who visit Siddal next Saturday.

Wath Brow won 22-8 away to derby rivals Egremont Rangers. Hornets host Siddal on July 23.

Siddal were 10-0 up at the interval on Saturday and pulled further clear with 24-point Blackburn their star man.

The visitors’ other points came via tries from stand off Shaun Garrod and prop George Ambler.

Full back Joseph Budd and centre Ryan Gallagher replied for Acorn.

Elland crashed 76-10 away to Skirlaugh and continue to prop up Division One.

They have home matches against 11th-placed East Leeds and seventh-placed Oulton Raiders on the next two Saturdays.
