Two-goal Danny Facey led a stirring Brighouse Town comeback in a 5-3 home win over Prescot Cables last night.
Town took a 15th minute lead through Steve Hollingworth but found themselves trailing 2-1 at the break after Lloyd Dean and Josh Nicholson had netted for the Merseysiders.
Facey levelled it up two minutes after half time from Ernest Boafo’s cross, Ryan Hall shrugged off a defender and gave Brighouse the lead and then Facey made it three home goals in 15 minutes with his second.
Cables got it back to 4-3 via Rob Doran on 69 minutes but Boafo netted from 12 yards to make the points safe for Brighouse.
Town, who climb to fifth in the table after ending a mini form slump, had Martin Atkinson dismissed for a second yellow deep into added time.
