Brighouse Town were 2-1 winners of their FA Cup replay at Atherton Collieries yesterday.
The pair had drawn 1-1 at Hove Edge on Saturday.
Paul Quinn’s side took the lead through Ernest Boafo on 21 minutes.
Ben Hardcastle replied for Atherton four minutes before the break but Ryan Hall got what turned out to be the winner four minutes into the second half as the heavens opened.
The game finished with surface water on the pitch.
Town, who had been due to travel to Scarborough Athletic yesterday, now face Durham side Newton Aycliffe at home in the first qualifying round on Saturday, September 12 (3pm).
