Brighouse beaten at Glossop

Brighouse Town slipped into the lower half of the Evo-Stik NPL first division north table when they lost 2-0 at Glossop North End yesterday.

Their fourth-placed hosts took the lead with a seventh minute penalty from David Young and added a second on 64 minutes through Jamie Rainford, the ex-FC Halifax Town striker.

Brighouse’s next game is at home to Clitheroe next Saturday. Clitheroe are eighth after losing 2-0 at Trafford yesterday.
