A hat-trick from Euan Logue crowned a 10-2 away victory for Todmorden Athletic under eights against a Hebden Bridge Saints Wolves side who were a lot pluckier than the scoreline suggests.

Todmorden dominated in the first half and went into half-time without conceding a goal, thanks to Will Hammond’s trademark trusty defending and goalkeeping heroics from Bailey Sutton,

Sutton scored as an out-field player in the second half.

Man of the match was Frank Cooper, who scored two goals in spite of playing in defence for much of the match.

Freddie Priestley also delivered a brace with Jack Suthers and Dan Adams getting a goal apiece.

Saints rallied towards the end and replied with a brace from Joe Howarth but it was too little too late.
