Elland Allstars’ reward for Saturday’s 2-0 victory over division-higher Copley United in the Halifax AFL Challenge Cup is a trip to fellow middle-section side Shelf FC in the last eight.

Powerful Ryburn United and Division One pacesetters Sowerby Bridge renew rivalry at Ripponden Wood Bottom while Midgley United will be fancied away to Denholme United.

Holders Illingworth St Mary’s don’t play Warley Rangers in the second round until November 12. The winners will be away to Northowram, who knocked out champions Calder ‘76 at the weekend.

The Invitation Cup has got to the semi-final stage and holders Ryburn United Reserves and The Ivy House will be hot favourites to progress.
