Spencer revels in first team call-up

TEENAGER Spencer Harris has moved a step closer to the big time.
The 17-year-old former Hebden Royd Primary and Calder High School pupil recently made his first team debut for Huddersfield Town against Leeds United.

Spencer, a strong tackling defender, was handed the squad number of 33, was called up by then caretaker manager Gerry Murphy.

Murphy described Harris as: “a seven out of ten player for the under-18s every week.”

Harris must now impress a new boss after Town appointed former Burnley manager Stan Ternent last week.
