Quiz League: Champions have Hare in their sights

LAST year's league champs Jack's House cut leaders Hare and Hounds B's Todmorden Quiz League lead to just one point with a good performance up at Old Town last week, emerging as clear winners.
At Bird the home team were in the lead for most of the match until a disastrous History round where they failed to score gave an easy victory to the Cricketers.
One of the narrowest of margins at Shannon resulted in giving Cornholme WMC's first victory of the season so far - an outcome which no doubt would be greeted with delight by the Workmen.
At Woodpecker the home team got off to a storming start and it was round 4 before they dropped a point. It became a battle for Hare and Hounds A and although they pulled a few points back, they were 15 points behind after the Entertainment round It proved too much Pecker ended up easy winners.
Results: Hare and Hounds B 64, Jack's House 78; Bird 63, Todmorden CC 72; Shannon 64, Cornholme WMC 65; Woodpecker 74, Hare and Hounds A 61.
Fixtures for January 27 are as follows: Hare and Hounds B v Shannon; Con Club v Hare and Hounds A; Woodpecker v Jack's House; Bird I' Th' Hand v Cornholme WMC; Todmorden CC, bye.
