Mounsey revels at Rivington

CALDER Valley fell runner Ben Mounsey had a fine run at the Rivington Pike fell race at Horwich near Bolton.
In a field of almost 300 Ben finished eighth in a time of 19.01. Rob Hope of the Pudsey & Bramley club was the race winner in 17.40.

Run over three-and-a-quarter miles and with 700ft of climbing, this is one of the oldest established fell races, with records going back as far as 1882.
