RICHARD Ingram was Hebden Royd Red Star's hero as they won a superb Halifax FA Saturday Cup semi-final.
Ingram, Star’s man for the big occasion, headed the only goal of the game with five minutes of extra time remaining at Brighouse Town’s Hove Edge ground.

Both sides gave it everything but the outcome leaves Red Star on course for the treble in their centenary year.

In a very even first 90 minutes Sowerby had the better chances but were let down by poor finishing and were foiled by some inspired goalkeeping by Glynn Claxton.

Red Star also had their chances but Reece Richardson in the Sowerby goal was equal to all that was thrown at him.

With penalties on the cards, Ingram struck for Red Star then Adam Barlow almost equalised only to be denied by an amazing last minute save from Claxton.
