PREMIER DIVISION
ALL-rounder Richard Laycock had a day to remember as Booth beat Old Crossleyans by an amazing 304 run margin.
Richard scored 98 and all of Booth's top order contributed to their imposing total of 366 for 7 with Jim Mosley, 41, Matthew Brown, 38, Rob Laycock, 26, Ian Sharkey, 48, and Adam Truscott, 31, among the runs.
But it was Robert Cockroft's unbeaten 44 - which included six sixes - which really knocked the stuffing out of the visitors from Broomfield.
It was the biggest score in living memory and the shellshocked Crocs were then rolled over for 62.
As an under-19 player Laycock is only allowed to bowl seven overs but during that spell he too 5 for 13.
Oliver Collinge, 2 for 19, helped polish off the visitors.
Earle pearl in vain
Jack Earle hit a quick-fire half century but it was still not enough to steer Mytholmroyd to victory over Jer Lane.
Johnny Lister made a classy 85, backed by half-centuries from Rob McEvoy and Paul Chapman as Jer Lane powered to 291 for seven.
Tom Earle raced to 49 in reply and Mytholmroyd were always up with the rate but kept losing wickets with Phil Yeadon to the fore for the hosts.
At 215 for eight 'Royd looked out of it but Jack Earle plundered 50 in about 30 balls including ten off two balls from Nabil Khan but was trapped leg before by the next delivery to leave Lane winners of an exciting match by seven runs.
Astin back in ton mode
Mytholmroyd's veteran opener Martyn Astin rolled back the years as the second team hammered their Blackley counterparts.
He carried his bat for 124, stroking 13 fours and four sixes along the way, sharing partnerships of 93 with Andy Binns - four sixes and seven fours in his 60 - and an unbroken 186 with Liam Laprell, 86no including 13 boundaries and three sixes, as Mytholmroyd reached 300 for 4.
Blackley's reply never got going thanks to tight bowling from the home side and they were always behind the huge asking rate.
Laprell was the pick of the bunch with 4 for 30 from 11 over and Astin capped his memorable day with a fine catch as the visitors ended 65 runs shy of the target.
DIVISION ONE
Wajid rights wobble
Booth seconds recovered from 58 for 4 to successfully chase 144 for victory at Shelf.
David Oliver took 4 for 50 from 21 overs as the home side were dismissed for 143.
A top of the order wobble was righted by Hasnain Wajid, 42no, and Wajid Ali, 40no, saw them to maximum points and maintained their place at the top of the table.
