Three staff from Overgate will reach dizzying heights when they take part in a skydive to raise funds for the hospice.

Tracey Broadbent, Laura Whitham and Trina Gledhill will travel to Hibaldstow Airfield in Lincolnshire to take part in the highest skydive in the UK, freefalling for 10,000 feet and reaching speeds of 120mph.

Trina, the manager at Overgate’s Hebden Bridge store, said: “I am definitely nervous but know that it will be a great experience and am always more than happy to push the boundaries when it comes to raising funds for such a wonderful cause.”

The fundraising team at Overgate need to raise £6,900 every day to keep the hospice open and the girls’ sponsorship goal of £1,050 will help to add vital funds to the pot.

Laura, the organiser of the event, said she was keen to smash that target.

“That Trina and Tracey have agreed to join me goes a long way to show the extent to which we really are a family at Overgate, and I believe that with their support and that

of our wonderful community we will raise more than our target amount, in addition to our heart rates.”

Tracey, Senior Retail Manager, added that it felt great to be giving something back to Overgate.
