There was a different kind of Sunday service as Upper Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team officers went out leafleting vehicles parked at Hardcastle Crags.
The crime prevention leaflets, which were distributed on Mothering Sunday, contained advice on how to keep your vehicles secure, with the main message being “don’t tempt thieves”.
PCSO Judith Wood said: “The carpark was full on what was a beautiful afternoon.
“Unfortunately, valuables were still found to be left on view in some of the cars parked there.”
Leaflets, which are part of a force wide campaign to tackle vehicle crime, have been distributed in carparks throughout the upper Calder Valley.
