HEBDEN BRIDGE gallery's first anniversary celebrations have shown it's a place held close to the area's heart.
The Heart Gallery, on Market Street, Hebden Bridge, opened its doors a year ago and owner Alison Bartram celebrated the event by throwing a party with champagne, organic nibbles, and a pink heart-shaped balloon sculpture.

She said: “I have been overwhelmed by the turn out today and continued support of family, friends and loyal customers.

“Some of the comments left in the guest book were just wonderful and I couldn’t wish for more at the end of an incredible first year.”

The gallery, which showcases contemporary arts, crafts and designs, also celebrated the arrival of a new artist-in-residence, Heather Wilson.

She said: “It’s a double celebration and the start of a really exciting new adventure for me as well.”
