What a rubbish way to exercise!

Friends of Hebden Bridge Station want people to turn up on Saturday, March 23 for a 2pm to 4pm clean-up at the station.

Friends of Hebden Bridge Station want people to turn up on Saturday, March 23 for a 2pm to 4pm clean-up at the station.

Here’s a great way to get some fresh air and exercise, meet new friends and help the environment at the same time!

The Friends of Hebden Bridge Station tend the gardens outside the railway station and are looking for a few more volunteers to join them for an hour or two over the coming months.

If you enjoy planting, weeding and pruning you’re welcome to meet up on Saturday to join in the Big Hebden Bridge Rubbish Clean Up, clearing up the station approaches and environs from 2pm to 4pm.

The next garden working party is on Saturday, April 6 at 2pm, for an hour - followed by sessions on April 20, May 4, May 18 and so on. Full details are on the Friends Notice Board at the station. Contact Bob on 07540 952433 for full details. “We’re a friendly bunch and the exercise is good,” he said.
