Firefighters battled for hours last night to contain a moorland blaze.
Estimated to be a mile in length, moorland above the village of Walsden was ablaze from late afternoon and fire crews continued to fight the blaze into the night.
It has been reported that water planes were in use to try and keep the fire at bay as winds fanned the flames.
