Two homes raided

POLICE are appealing for information following two burglaries which took place on Thursday, May 29.

Entry was gained to a property at Green Bank, Cragg Vale, at 2.17pm by an insecure front porch and an interior wooden door. The suspects were seen in a small red hatchback car with a number plate similar to P776 RRN.

The first suspect is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, with mousey brown hair, pointed features and dark eyes. He was wearing a light coloured tracksuit top and coloured jeans.

The second suspect is described as a white female, 25-years-old, 5ft 5in tall, of large build, with black hair and a fringe tied back in a bun. She was wearing a grey Lacoste tracksuit with white writing on and blue and white trainers that looked haggard.

The same afternoon, between 2.15-2.25pm, another burglary took place at Westfield Terrace, Mytholmroyd. The intruders purported to be from the water board and were seen to make off in a red Peugeot car.

The first suspect is described as a white male, aged between 18-20, of slim build, with short dark hair. He was wearing dark coloured trousers and had tattoos or possibly writing on his right arm.

The second suspect is described as a female of mixed race and stocky build.

Anybody with information about either incident should contact Calderdale CID on 01422 337085 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
