Schoolgirl attacked and robbed in Leeds

Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old schoolgirl was attacked and robbed of her phone in Leeds.

The victim was walking to school in Holborn Approach, Woodhouse, at about 8.12am on Thursday (March 13)when she was approached by a man who hit her in the stomach before stealing her black Iphone 5.

He went off into the residential area of Holborn Street and Holborn Walk.

He was described as mixed race with light skin, about 6ft tall and aged in his early twenties. He had short black curly hair and shaved stubble around his jaw and mouth. He was wearing a dark grey tracksuit and white trainers believe to be Nike brand.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact PC 1876 Marc Stead of the Robbery Team at Woodhouse Lane via 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
