Road closed after collision

A ROAD in Hebden had to be completely shut off on Tuesday afternoon after two cars crashed.

The accident happened on the A6033 Hebden Bridge Road between the A646 New Road junction in Hebden Bridge and the B6141 Station Road junction in Oxenhope at around 12.20pm when a black Subaru collided with a Vauxhall.

Two people are thought to have been injured and firefighters are understood to have had to cut the roof off one of the cars.

The two vehicles were removed from the scene and the road had been re-opened by 3pm.
