Lunches to support needy

The Hebden Royd Christian Aid committee is holding its annual series of Lent lunches to increase awareness of the world’s needy people and raise funds to support them.

The series of lunches will take place on each Sunday during Lent and will be held at various locations in Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd.

It begins on Sunday, March 9, when Mytholmroyd Methodist Church will host the first event from noon until 1pm.

The following Sunday, March 16, sees a lunch at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Mytholmroyd, from noon until 1pm.

Hebden Bridge Methodist Church will hold a lunch on Sunday, March 23, from noon until 1pm.

The Quakers, Royd Square, Hebden Bridge, is the venue for a lunch on Sunday, March 30, from noon until 1pm.

St Michael’s Church, Mytholmroyd, will host a lunch on Sunday, April 6, from noon until 1pm.

And the final Lent lunch will be held at Hope Baptist Church, Hebden Bridge, on Palm Sunday, April 13, from noon until 1pm.

All are welcome to attend the lunches.
