Know your trees around the area
A SERIES of tree walks around Hebden Bridge is being held this summer and autumn.
The walks are being organised by Bel Hale, who said: “There are so many interesting and unusual trees in Hebden Bridge which we just walk by without recognising.
“Just at the bottom of Birchcliffe there are Almonds, Cherries, Pears, a Crab Apple and a Turkish Hazel.”
The walks are on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from June to October and set off at 2pm from St George’s Square. The first walk of each month is accessible for all. For more information contact Bel on 07788 818733
