Kitson is a record breaker
People queue up for tickets to see Daniel Kitson at Hebden Briidge Arts Festival
Quirky Perrier Award-winning comic Daniel Kitson sold out his Picture House gig in 72 hours, setting a new sales record for the Hebden Bridge Arts Festival.
Tickets went on sale on Friday for the 500-seat gig and were sold out by Monday morning. The on-line allocation sold out in just 40 minutes and locals queued outside Hebden Bridge Town Hall on Saturday to secure tickets. “We promised that locals would get a fair shout too, but were shocked when a queue formed with one lad coming over from Burnley to make sure he got in,” said artistic director Helen Meller.
