Calder Valley Labour candidate Josh Fenton-Glynn has committed to joining a day of fasting organised by a group of charities campaigningto end hunger in the UK.
People from across the country will join the “End Hunger Fast” day-long event on April 4.
Josh said: “The fact Calderdale has two food banks and will soon have a third shows the best and worst of our country. I have nothing but admiration for the fantastic people running food banks who give up time to help support those in need. But the situation has to change. We simply shouldn’t have queues of people having to rely on food hand-outs in modern Britain.”
