Info and a speaker at Fox pub meeting

a PUBLIC meeting this Saturday will decide the way forward for the Fox and Goose Co-operative pub project.

Organised by Fox Friends steering group, set up to look into buying the Heptonstall Road, Hebden Bridge, pub and running it as a co-operative, the steering group will present its findings, facts and figures and a business plan, then outline the various options for a community-run pub.

Steering group chairman Coun Dave Young said: “This is a very important meeting which represents the culmination of all the research carried out by the steering group on behalf of Fox Friends members.

“We hope as many people as possible will get along to the meeting so the whole community can input their views on the future of our well-loved local pub.”

Dave Hollins, from Co-operative Mutual Solutions, will be a guest speaker who is also available to answer questions about the broader co-operative movement growing across the UK.

The bar will be open from 11am with the meeting starting at noon. Customers are welcome to take along their own packed lunch. For more information visit Fox Friends website www.foxandgoose.org, follow the group on facebook or twitter @hebdenfox or speak to Trevor, Drew or Cayn at the Fox and Goose bar.
