Hunt for kidnapper of teenage girl

A teenage girl managed to escape from her kidnapper as he tried to sexually assault her.

The 17-year-old victim was approached on Huddersfield Road, Westtown in Dewsbury at around 10.30pm on February 21.

She was forced into a three door dark car and driven to Bradford and Halifax.

Her abductor then drove her back to Dewsbury where he attempted to sexually assault her.

But she managed to escape.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to in relation to the abduction.

The suspect is described as an Asian male in his 20s. He has dark brown eyes, dark curly hair and a beard.

DC Michael Smith, of Kirklees CID, said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who recognises this man pictured in the E-Fit.

“The victim is extremely distressed by the incident and we are keen to locate this man.

“I would like to stress that this is an isolated incident and no other incidents have been reported.”
