Gruffalo author visits Book Case

CHILDREN’S Laureate Julia Donaldson, author of the best seller The Gruffalo, will be at The Book Case, Market Street, Hebden Bridge on Saturday (2pm to 3.30pm).
Shop owner Kate Claughan was thrilled to receive a phone call from the author’s publishers asking if she could attend and sign copies of her new book Superworm and the “sound book” of Room on the Broom.
Kate said: “We are very privileged that as a local independent bookshop we have been chosen as a venue on her national book tour and it is a great opportunity for children to meet and chat to her.”
