TWO events begin a new programme for the academic year at an educational access farm.

Ramsden Farm, above Walsden, links up with the South Pennine Walk and Ride Festival on Tuesday, September 11, when Walk 37 visits the farm. For more details visit www.walkandridefestival.co.uk or ring Sue Leffman on 07582 102098 to book.

And it is bird week at the farm from September 17 to 21 when RSPB officers will attend events and discuss their work. This will be followed by practical activities based around “The Day in the Life of a Bird”, looking at the difficulties they face particularly in the winter months when natural food sources are depleted. The afternoon will be spent making a range of bird feeders. To book places ring 01706 813667.
