Fat Face store gets big welcome from shoppers

New Hebden Bridge clothing and accessories store Fat Face has proved a big hit with customers.

The nationally renowned business decided to put its faith in the Calder Valley and opened up in Bridge Gate just weeks after the street was swamped by rising waters in June.

Several jobs have been created with the arrival of Fat Face. And as more town centre shops have begun to reopen, Fat Face employees are confident that the store will help to attract many more visitors.

Spokesman Ed Maddison said: “We’ve had a great reaction from our customers who are pleased we’ve brought something new to the town. They’re really relieved that they don’t have to travel so far now.

“We were incredibly busy during the opening weekend and are thrilled to be here. We’re really looking forward to seeing how the autumn range is received by our customers.

“There are some great trends for the season including florals, checks and layering, with purple being a really key colour – all of which we have explored in our own ‘Fat Face’ way.”
