THRILLING and curious tales abound at the Picture House this week - including that of a long-lost singer and a not-so-long-lost teenager.

But probably the most anticipated offering for shoot-’em-up fans will be The Bourne Legacy (12A, screened tomorrow, Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7.45pm and on Sunday at 4pm.

Jason Bourne’s arrival in New York prompts the Secret Service to shut down their special operations and tie up all loose ends.

Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) is another agent estranged from the defence department’s programme that enhances the abilities of agents by using experimental drugs.

Enlisting the help of scientist Dr Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz), Cross reists the government’s attempt to take him out as he tries to find the drugs that have made him who he is.

Searching for Sugar Man (12A), is screened today at 10.30am and 7.45pm. It’s the story of musician Rodriguez, discovered in a Detroit bar in the late 1960s by two celebrated producers who thought he would become the greatest recording artist of his generation. But his album bombed and he disappeared into obscurity - until, years later, two fans set out to discover what happened to their hero.

UK movie The Imposter (15), screened on Sunday and Monday at 7.45pm and next Thursday at 10.30am, is the story of a 13-year-old Texan boy who disappears without trace - apparently turning up in Spain more than three years later. But all is not what it seems...

The Lorax (U) returns for weekend fun (1.30pm). For details call 01422 842807 or visit www.hebdenbridgepicturehouse.co.uk
